Sueño Azul…is…more of an area than a complex as such.
Built up since its inception in the late 80s it’s a good mixture of holiday homes and full time residential property spread over a large area of Callao Salvaje.
From Sueño Azul, it’s a short walk to the centre of town where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants…and some nice ones too and the beach is just a couple of minutes walk further on from the town centre.
In the western side of Sueño Azul is a swimming pool, which is a private, sea water, pool which has a bar area and although obviously owners and ideas change throughout the years, the last I heard was that there was a discount for residents of the area.
Although Callao Salvaje has a couple of hotels, it’s mainly a residential area and has quite a few long term residents.
The town itself has a good selection of shops, smaller supermarkets, bars and restaurants and if you can’t find what you need in the town, then the larger town of Adeje is just 5 minutes up the road.
The beach, Playa de Ajabo, was totally refurbished during 2011 and 2012 and reopened in 2014 and, although a volcanic sandy beach, which for some reason some people aren’t keen on, is a great beach with sun-beds and parasols and the sea is quite calm thanks to a water break which was built during the beach refurbishment.
