Are the letting laws changing in Tenerife?
At the end of 2014, there was a draft written that may well change the current short term letting laws in Tenerife.
What you read here is still law until any changes have been made, but things may well progress over the next couple of months in 2015.
Basically, the new law needs to be checked over by lawyers and will no doubt take longer than 2 or 3 months, but as soon as I know anything, I’ll add it to my website.
One of the main points will be the the community of owners will need to give permission for the property to be let on a short term basis. I imagine that other things will have to be put in order such as fire alarms and certain other regulations to be adhered to but at the moment it’s all too soon to say.
